The W.I.S.E. program is an exercise program designed specifically for individuals who are either currently undergoing treatment for a cancer related illness or those who have completed their therapy. This program is open to all cancer patients/ survivors, regardless of cancer type, stage, current treatment status, or time since diagnosis and treatment.


To provide a supportive environment in which cancer patients and survivors n all phases of treatment and recovery work to improve their functional capacity and quality of life through physical activity and multidisciplinary educational programs.


Improve physical and psychological function within the limitations imposed by the disease or treatment via a low-cost, community-based, integrated cancer rehabilitation program.


  • improve aerobic capacity
  • improve functional strength
  • increase range of motion and flexibility
  • decrease fatigue associated with the disease and therapy
  • improve quality of life

W.I.S.E. Includes:

1. Group flexibility exercises

2. Aerobic training: activities that utilize large muscle masses in a rhythmic fashion will be emphasized

3. Strength training: resistance exercise routine to improve strength & general function

4. Alternative exercise activities: water aerobics and stability and balance class

Class Options:

Approval from your physician is required to start the program.

Program registration is required each month. The cost in included in your membership or it is $75 for non-members.
